About the job 
As an Embedded SW Developer, you’ll be an integral part of DEIF’s skilled embedded SW Team focusing on measurement and protection. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring our products not only meet various grid code standards but also exceed market requirements. You will play a key role in translating complex technical standards into actionable product specifications and implementations, ensuring our systems remain compliant and innovative. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Develop SW within the embedded SW and your team’s domain.
  • Translate grid code standards (e.g., IEEE1547, RfG; VDE4110) into product-specific implementations.
  • Ensure testing methods for protection systems and transducers are compliant with standards.
  • Oversee the accuracy of measurement algorithms, ensuring compliance with market standards
  • Serve as the main contact on measurement methods and protection algorithms.
  • Provide support for technical documentation related to measurement and protection.

Our ideal candidate

  • A master’s degree in engineering, preferably within electrical engineering or a similar field.
  • Adapt developer skills in HW near code (C, C++) and application of digital signal processing
  • Experience in interpreting grid code standards and product compliance
  • Experience within power systems, protection systems, or related areas.
  • You are thorough, detail-oriented, and thrive in managing complex challenges. Your problem-solving abilities and clear communication make you a trusted expert and decision-maker. Above all, you’re courageous in tackling challenges and confident in your ability to deliver high-quality outcomes. Interviews for this role are expected to take place as suitable applicants are screened, or a suitable candidate is found.

The salary for the position is based on the Collective agreement for employees in the metal trade and  starts with 5.000€ with possible overpayment depending in your experience and your education.
